Hectic Hassles Hinder Hopeful Start

Rome, GA. Grassroots racing team, Action Motorsports, reschedules tentative start date to later date. "Everything was falling right into place and on schedule", explains driver Scooter Allison. "The chassis is ready, the transmission is in, and decals are on... we hit a snag in the engine department. It's no ones fault, it just takes time to produce certain parts, and those parts aren't ready yet. The engine is 98% complete, we're just waiting on that last, crucial ingredient. Larry [Smith] assures us that the parts are on the way!"

Engine woes are not the only hassles hindering the North Georgia racing team. Team Representative Bethany Allison explains, "We planned on starting at North Georgia Speedway on June 23; however, due to new management at the track, there is no race on Saturday, June 23. The majority of races have been moved from Saturday nights to Friday nights to coincide with Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee, which races on Saturday nights. We still plan to run at North Georgia Speedway some, this just makes it a little more challenging." Crew Chief Wayne Allison agrees, "Friday nights will be tough. Due to the schedule change at North Georgia we will plan to race special events there. We are also making plans to race at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia, which races on Saturday nights."

Action Motorsports looks forward to seeing old fans and meeting new fans at both tracks during the 2007 season. For more information on North Georgia Speedway visit
